sad week + MiniLuxe MiniCure nail color

 Hello there!

I have been extremely absent from the blogging world. I know. This week was one of the hardest for me. My best friend, and blog partner in crime (my photographer) was in a serious medical condition. He was in coma for most of the week and is finally doing better now.

I was told by the doctors that his condition was so critical that he could die, so you could have imagined my reaction and mix of emotions. Now, he's safe and sound and I can keep on going with my normal life, like nothing happened. I am very happy I get to keep my friend! I jut took this opportunity as a reality check, to remember to appreciate the people around me and let them know how much I care. I love him so much.

We keep forgetting how short life is and sometimes waste our time on irrelevant issues. So, whenever you leave someone, stop and think if that would really be the last memory you would like to have with that person.

This post is getting a little sad. So, moving on... as most of you may know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter you saw these cute nail-polishes by MiniLuxe, my favorite nail salon here in Boston! The MiniCure (the pale pink color) was designed to support the Ellie Fund Do Good Campaign. All the net proceeds from this color will go towards the campaign's efforts to battle breast cancer.

The dark red nail color is called LUXE Lynnfield. It is a fall color they came up with to celebrate the addition of their 8th location! MiniLuxe will be opening in Lynnfield, this month too!
