cotton candy

I know I've mentioned this before but... I'm really into pink and blue pastel tones this season. When I see this skirt I see cotton candy. It's really hard not to want to eat it.

The skirt and sunglasses I'm wearing are by Blackfive, an online store with really good quality and trendy clothing items. At first, I didn't know what to expect when I saw this skirt on their website. I thought it was too pretty for its price, and wondered if it would be one of those products that shows a certain way on pictures and is completely different in person (which has happened to me several times with other online stores). The skirt was surprisingly really well-made, and the material feels as soft as cotton candy!

The fabric is strong enough to last you for years, but soft enough to want to sleep in it (serious). I also really like its length. I love that it is longer in the back and shorter in the front. I have a little bit of a problem with ordering skirts and dresses online. They are sometimes so short on me that I have to keep pulling them down when I walk.

If you're form the U.S. and are looking for what to wear on the 4th of July, check out The Classic Brand. They have everything you need for Independence day. Some of my favorites are: shorts (thesethese and these), tanks (this and this), this sweater, and this vest

You can also pair your 4th of July outfit with these American Girl Hair Ties by Kitsch (Use code: FIREWORK for 20% off)!

I hope you found this post helpful! I should have shared those 4th of July ideas on my last post, but it's still not too late!

summer, fishbowls, sunglasses, jelly beans

It just hit me that it is summer, that I won't have to do any more school work for a while and that all I have time to do now is relax (oh, don't you love that word?). I have so many great expectations for this summer. I am completely overwhelmed. I love that feeling. If I keep talking about all the things I want/plan to do I'll write a whole book here, so I better stop before I extend myself.

On this post I am wearing a shirt that I love and wear more than you would actually think. This is my go to shirt when I don't know what else to wear in my closet. My favorite part about it is that it looks like a soccer shirt (or at least I think it does, even if my friends say it doesn't) with cutouts on the shoulders.

I am also wearing a ring that I consider some serious piece of art. It's a little fishbowl with a fish swimming in it and some plants. I was looking for some glass terrariums to decorate my room and instead found ring terrariums and ring fish bowls. All the rings created by Gold Finger look like there is real life inside them. You just can't not fall in love with them.

Check out some of my other favorite rings from the Gold Finger: the mini farm ring here, the hen ring here, and the swimmer ring here. They are so creative and interesting to look at.

On another note, what do you think about my sunglasses?

pinkest sugar and blackest spice flower crown

Quick post before I head to Phantom Gourmet Beach Party. I thought this flowery post would be a  perfect ending to an awesome weekend and a great beginning to a new week.

This flower crown seems so real that it gets lost amongst the rest in the bushes. It is so feminine that you don't need to wear any make-up with it and look super chic. I added some red lips to make the scene a little more romantic.

flower crown: Crowned by Flowers, top: Zara (many seasons ago), skirt: Mentirosas

Didn't have much time to write this post, but I hope you enjoy the pictures!

one day getaway

I was able to be freed from both school and work this past week, and tried taking advantage of my free days by going to Newport. It is only an hour and a half away from Boston by bus and I think it is the perfect quick getaway. Especially seeing that the weather would be warmer this week.

I was hoping I could take more pictures during my stay there, but unfortunately, besides the fact that I sprained my foot and wasn't able to do much walking after the first day, I also passed a kidney stone and spent a whole day hospitalized.

I know, how much worse could it get? Can't a girl have a few days for herself, without worrying about school, work, waking up early, or a sprained foot?

Oh well, I can't complain, at least I have some memories to share with you about the one happy day I had... I hope you enjoy the beautiful Newport Bridge pictures!

bodysuit: Zara, pants: Thread Sense, shoes: Converse, sunglasses: Sunglasses Shop

Meanwhile, I'll be cooling my foot down and praying I can walk outside of my house tomorrow!

rolling in the snow

I love my glittery tights. I wanted some like these for quite a while but was never able to find them until this past December. It took me about an hour to choose whether to buy the silver ones or the golden ones. Of course, as you can see, I ended up getting the silver ones.

You might be wondering why I didn't just buy both tights, instead of wasting one hour of my day in H&M trying to choose. The reason is, I've been back to practicing the "art" of saving money. I am usually good at it, but I had been losing myself up in the past months. One pair of glittery tights is enough!

sweater: f21, shorts: Zara (very old), tights: H&M, shoes: JC, necklace: Jeweliq

As cold as it may look, it was actually a warm day for Boston. Lying down on the snow was more of a refreshing experience. I try to take advantage of snow as much as I can, and lie down on it whenever I have a chance. I like to think I'm a white seal!

Oh, and about the Taz-Mania backpack... It belongs to a friend, but I'm afraid he will never see it again. Muahaha!

Besos,
Angela
