badass

First of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS!

This is my first post of 2014! I know, I know, my last one was ages ago... I feel really bad for not being able to post more Christmas and NYE looks. But guess what? I actually ended up using the leopard dress from this post, for Christmas, and a completely different outfit for NYE.

It's been extremely cold here in Boston. When I say extremely, I mean it! Stick your hand in the fridge for one minute. Did you feel that? Picture that but ten times worse. That's how your fingers feel if you leave them out for one second. You literally feel like they are going to fall off.

I never leave my house without bundling up, and when the sun comes out (like it did today) I run back home, throw on a dress and some tights, and let the sun burn my skin for some minutes because I don't know when I will see it again.

Of course, I took advantage of the situation and shot some pictures so that you guys could see this plain but badass dress.

dress with sheer panel: Front Row Shop (here), cloud clutch: Front Row Shop (here), silver spiral ring: Marisa Diane Designs (here)

If you follow me on Twitter, you already saw this gorgeous spiral ring. If you don't (then you should!), take some time to visit Marisa Diane Designs' Etsy store, she makes some really amazing jewelry. I love all the spiral rings!

Can't wait to see if you like these pieces and the stores!

public gardens

If you've ever been to Boston, you know exactly where these pictures were taken. The Public Gardens are one of my favorite places to go to during the summertime, especially when it's hot out!

Saying that yesterday the weather was extremely hot is an absolute understatement. I was melting/boiling/baking/frying (and anything high temperature related) to death. I've decided to wear nothing more than swimsuits from now on... Just kidding!

Anyway, I know I haven't posted in about a week. I've been really busy having fun and taking advantage of every single free day I have. I've been doing the things I've always wanted to do but never had time to. If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, you already know I went to Six Flags this week. It was awesome! Except for the huge headache I got afterwards.

top: Salvation Army (for about $2), shorts: Boohoo, necklaces: Letters Earring, shoes: Converse, sunglasses: Delirious

I am in love with my necklaces from Letters Earring. I wear them all the time. I also have a few more that I want to show you on another post. They're all different lengths and I just love wearing them together.

How have your weeks been?

one day getaway

I was able to be freed from both school and work this past week, and tried taking advantage of my free days by going to Newport. It is only an hour and a half away from Boston by bus and I think it is the perfect quick getaway. Especially seeing that the weather would be warmer this week.

I was hoping I could take more pictures during my stay there, but unfortunately, besides the fact that I sprained my foot and wasn't able to do much walking after the first day, I also passed a kidney stone and spent a whole day hospitalized.

I know, how much worse could it get? Can't a girl have a few days for herself, without worrying about school, work, waking up early, or a sprained foot?

Oh well, I can't complain, at least I have some memories to share with you about the one happy day I had... I hope you enjoy the beautiful Newport Bridge pictures!

bodysuit: Zara, pants: Thread Sense, shoes: Converse, sunglasses: Sunglasses Shop

Meanwhile, I'll be cooling my foot down and praying I can walk outside of my house tomorrow!
