my halloween nails

Before you go ahead and read this post, I just want to ask you to PLEASE excuse my cuticles! They need to be seriously taken care of...

Last week, I wanted to make sure my nails would go with my Halloween costume. I decided to do a nail design that would have purple colors (since those were the colors on the flower crown I wore), and of course, black.

Some weeks ago I received this nail art set of brushes and wanted to get creative with them. I have had other brushes in the past but they were so stiff that I could barely use them to do all the drawings that I wanted.

I only had about 30 minutes to do my nails, since I had to go take pictures for my last post, and then get ready for a Halloween party. This explains why I only did one hand.

I have to say the brushes were really easy to use and helped me do the skull on my index finger fairly quick!

Hope you guys like this nail design, and definitely give these brushes a try. I have already done a few designs with them and am pretty happy with the results.

i heart nail art

I figured you weren't really able to see the details on my nails on the last post, so I decided to show you some close-up pictures of the nail designs I had that day.

They are water slide nail decals from I Heart Nail Art. They have so many designs. You should definitely check them out! I got three different ones.

You can cut them in different shapes and just play around with them and get creative.

Do you have a favorite nail design from their store?

nails of the month

I haven't posted any nail designs in quite a while, but guess what? I have collected photos of some of them during the past weeks.

I wish I had taken pictures of my nails with my camera. I never really think about it when the time comes, but thank God for phones and Instagram: the only reasons why I am able to write this post, as all the pictures were taken with my phone!

Excuse the dry hands and the pixelated pictures!

Do you have a favorite design?

xx

PS: Noticed the Prabal Gurung inspired nails? I did them right after writing this post!

silver on grey

If you follow me on Instagram (which I highly encourage you to do;)), this nail design must be old news to you. These were my nails last week and wanted to share them with you because I thought they were also really easy to do.

I only used one nail color (Cream Soda by Ciaté), two studs, nail foil and an orange-red color to draw a cross on my index finger. If drawing the cross is too hard for you, you don't really need to do it. I'd say that the nail foil on its own looks cool enough.

These were all the materials I used on my nails:

I actually love how they turned out.

Let me know what you think!

Besos,
Angela
