last days of summer

Hi guys,

I know it's been a really really long time since I last posted. A lot of things (good and bad) have happened in my life these past months, and I hadn't had the time to shoot or post. I'm glad I finally found the time and did, because I missed blogging so much!

Today is actually my birthday, so what better way to start my 25th year of life (wow, I just realized I am a quarter of a century old!!!), than to start blogging again?:)

First, I'd like to thank the great Cynthia Wong, for taking these beautiful pictures. I met this girl last year, and it's always fun to run into her and to spend time with her. Taking pictures with her is like hanging out with a friend. We always share fun stories and catch up on life.

Anyways, back to the reason you're actually here:

I had been wanting to get a knitted swimsuit top for the beach for this summer, and found this one on Ebay for a very affordable price. I love it because I can use it not only as a swimsuit but also as a top.

I've also been decorating my body with a lot of Kitsch tattoos and rings. I was not into gold tattoos until I saw that they had designs with other colors too. They even have designs in only black or white. They are seriously the cutest body tattoos out there right now. I am in love with all of their designs! You will definitely see more of these tattoos on upcoming posts ;)

I hope you guys enjoyed this beach look for the last days of summer!

crystallized swarovski jewelry

Hey guys!

As I promised on this post, I am going to talk to you about your CHIC statement, the store where my earrings were from. I also wanted to show you some close-up pictures of the earrings because the ones on that post didn't do them justice.

What attracted me to your CHIC statement is that all of their pieces are handmade in Italy. You know how much I love handmade stuff!

All of the pieces from this online jewelry store are made with crystallized Swarovski elements and nickel-free rhodium-plated brass metal. You can find chain necklaces, pendant necklaces, bracelets, and earrings among their collection. My favorite part about their online store is that you can search for products by the color. So, if for instance you bought a purple dress, and you only want to wear it with purple jewelry, you click on the "Shop Purple" section and you will find all their purple accessories. I think this makes the shopping process quick and easy!

The earrings are very well-made and look so elegant on! I chose both colors because I wanted to have one pair for day looks and another for night looks. But, I think they are both perfect for transitioning from day to night.

I also loved this Black Diamond Sofia Necklace. It's gorgeous!

Check out your CHIC statement and let me know which are your favorite pieces! By the way, this online store ships to Canada and US:)

badass

First of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS!

This is my first post of 2014! I know, I know, my last one was ages ago... I feel really bad for not being able to post more Christmas and NYE looks. But guess what? I actually ended up using the leopard dress from this post, for Christmas, and a completely different outfit for NYE.

It's been extremely cold here in Boston. When I say extremely, I mean it! Stick your hand in the fridge for one minute. Did you feel that? Picture that but ten times worse. That's how your fingers feel if you leave them out for one second. You literally feel like they are going to fall off.

I never leave my house without bundling up, and when the sun comes out (like it did today) I run back home, throw on a dress and some tights, and let the sun burn my skin for some minutes because I don't know when I will see it again.

Of course, I took advantage of the situation and shot some pictures so that you guys could see this plain but badass dress.

If you follow me on Twitter, you already saw this gorgeous spiral ring. If you don't (then you should!), take some time to visit Marisa Diane Designs' Etsy store, she makes some really amazing jewelry. I love all the spiral rings!

Can't wait to see if you like these pieces and the stores!

polka dotted girl

These pictures are from Boston, back when I had long hair (last week). Yep, I got a short haircut. Really. I like it so much, I'm pretty sure I won't be letting it grow for a long long time (AKA never again).

I had been wanting to take pictures at my friend's house for as long as I can remember. The living room's wall if full of mirrors and there are weird/cool details in every corner of the house. Luckily, my friend was able to capture some of these spots on the pictures he took.

That second picture reminds be of Willow Smith!

I won't be able to post as often as I would like to. I didn't have any Internet access last week and don't know if I will from now until I go back to Boston. I'll be posting whenever I get a chance though. I promise you'll see my summer pictures at some point!

I hope you guys are having an amazing summer :)

black mesh

On this post you'll see the most recent and versatile addition to my closet. I am really excited to finally have it in my hands. I had been eyeing it for over two months.

This black mesh tunic (by bone + mini) can be used in so many different ways that I've already worn it three times for completely different situations. And the best part is that it is one-of-a-kind. This means, the chance of seeing someone else wearing the exact tunic is probably non-existant.

This time I decided to give the tunic a more romantic approach by wearing it with gold accessories and orange lipstick. The geometric gold bangles, by Violetfly, have been my go-to accessories this week, and the inspiration for my current nail design. Also, the mini sideways cross necklace is one of the necklaces I've been wanting to show you!

I love everything minimal, clean-cut, and simple at this point.

You should also check out James Society. It's another online store owned by the same people behind Bone + Mini. They have really good stuff!

What do you think about the tunic and the new accessories?

galisfly

Taking pictures with only one hand is probably the hardest thing I have had to do for this blog. I just needed to show you these beauties that I received this week from Galisfly.com, all the way from Israel.

I don't know about you, but I have the biggest crush on midi rings. Actually, if you've liked someone/something for almost a year, wouldn't that be love? Then, scratch that, I am in LOVE with midi rings!

I wanted to take the time to post close-up pictures of the rings, before you see them on an outfit post. There are two thin and simple gold plated rings and a thick one with small cut details on it. They are also pretty affordable. This stack of three rings is only $16 (see here).

I keep on playing around with them. You can use them so many ways. I also liked these ones made out of chains and these ones with the little hand. I want them all!

Do you have a favorite?

pretty in spikes

I finally got my hands on this neck-candy!
I had been eyeing this pretty piece of jewelry at Jeweliq. I think their stuff is pretty cool and affordable. For example, this necklace (click here) is only $25, and it comes with matching earrings. I wasn't expecting the earrings to come with it so I took them as a bonus.

I love it and have worn it a couple of times so far. I have been getting into necklaces lately and started collecting quite a few. You might feel underdressed sometimes, but adding a necklace to your outfit seems to suddenly turn it into a whole new thing! Necklaces can turn a simple outfit into an edgy one, and I think this one really adds some spice to a subtle look.

Some of my other favorite pieces are (click on the links I have provided):
Turq Flora Bib (specially for spring and summer)

Which one do you like better?

I will try to post an outfit look with this necklace. I am seriously in love!

Besos,
Angela
