HAPPY NEW YEAR! 

It is still 2012 here, but I wanted to wish you all an amazing 2013!

I started my blog a little over two months ago and have received really good feedback from all of you! Thank you so much for your support! I enjoy reading each and every one of your blogs too. I hope 2013 is a great year for all of us and am extremely anxious to see what this new year will bring into my life.

Merry Christmas, happy holidays, or whatever you call it! I hope you are all staying warm and taking advantage of these short vacations (if you have any).

You seemed to love my white velvety shirt and skirt as much as I do, and I hope you like these purple velvet pants too. I mentioned on one of my first posts how I couldn't wait to wear them and show them to you... and here they are! 

I didn't find them in a thrift store but I actually picked them out of a bag of clothes my aunt was planning on throwing away a couple of years ago. "Elegant and comfortable" was what I thought when I first saw them. I didn't need to think any further. I had to have them. I mean, seriously, I even sleep in them some nights.

Did you get any special gifts? I did, and I loved them, but I definitely enjoy giving more than receiving gifts for Christmas. 

By the way, did you realize how close we are to 2013?

feeling velvety

Christmas is approaching and I can't wait to give everyone all the gifts that I have been buying in the past few weeks. This is my definite favorite time of the year. 

I am now back home, but couldn't leave Boston without taking pictures of these beautiful colorful doors and Christmas decorations. I mean, seriously, can you picture a whole street full of these doors? I felt like I was in the middle of a movie while walking through it.

Did you really think I forgot about you?

I have been the worst at taking care of my blog lately. But, the truth is I have been submerged in my books for the past three weeks, doing a lot of school work and studying for finals. 

I am finally free to take pictures and adorn my blog, so here I am!

These pictures turned out pretty cool. I have been very excited about my new garments from BlackMilk and just couldn't wait to take pictures and show you.

Nail Designs

This was one of the first posts I wanted to do when I started this blog. I don't know why it took me so long to finally get it together. 

One of my biggest addictions in life, are nail polishes. I love discovering a new nail color shade and chasing it down until I own it. This doesn't happen too often, because no one seems to come up with new colors nowadays. I feel that all the colors are already out there, and when someone comes up with something I haven't seen before, I instantly need it!

When I feel that I don't have any new colors to wear, I try coming up with nail designs that will make my nails look interesting (at least!). The following are nail designs I have done on some of my friends and on myself.

I hope you guys like them. And by the way, what are your plans for Thanksgiving?

 I collected photos of all my favorite shoes from the F/W 2012, and S/S 2013 runway shows. I am in love with all the metallics, clear, and leather elements that predominated this year. It is a fusion of all my favorite materials for accessories, clothing, and shoes.

I wanted to do a post of me, so that you could put a face to the person writing behind this blog. These were some pictures taken over the summer, on a soon-to-be rainy day. 

I think these pictures really represent my free, spontaneous, overly-excited (or how my boyfriend likes to call it, enthusiastic) personality. 

I am wearing some of my summer favorites here: My clear jelly sandals, which took me ages to find, my Alex and Ani bracelets, my ombre hair, and my red lipstick!

These photos make me want to go back to summer for a while, now that it is starting to snow in Boston.

Balenciaga Spring 2013

I want to share my love for the Balenciaga Spring 2013 collection. Have you seen these pieces? They are breathtaking, and truly amazing. 

Picking out my favorite pieces was an extremely hard task, but here is my final selection:

I love that he only used Black and White for this collection. He also used gold on the accessories, one of my definite favorite colors. So neat and minimalistic, even for Spring.

VELVET renaissance

One of the trends I feel most passionate about, this Fall, is the Velvet revival. Velvet being such a delicate and glamorous material, has the capability of dressing up any autumn outfit. I am really excited to finally get my velvety pants out of my closet!
