POP

Hey guys!

If you live in the US, you probably know that Primark launched its store in Boston a couple of weeks ago. It was all over Twitter and Instagram. I even read some tweets from across the pond, saying how jealous they were of our beautiful, four-story-tall store. And I agree, I would be a little jealous if I didn't live in Boston too! We're so lucky to have the first Primark in the US!

I did a few shopping trips to Primark. During one of those trips, I got the awesome popcorn bag and  set of rings that I'm wearing on these pictures. The popcorn bag was more like love at first sight. When I saw it, I knew I had to have it!

The bag was only $9, and the rings were $4.50 (I'm only wearing 3 rings out of the 8 that came in the set). Yep, you can do a lot with just a little cash!

Melissa and felt very inspired by the popcorn bag while doing this shoot! What do you think of it? Do you like it as much as we do?

bathtub series: jelly

Hi everyone!

Here is the second set of the bathtub series. Although I love them all (and still haven't posted a couple), I have to say this is probably one of my favorites.

I've been meaning to show you this beautiful one-piece swimsuit from Meyli Miyaru for over a year now. I was only able to share a picture on Instagram last year, but every time I tried to shoot it it would just get colder and colder.

Meyli Miyaru designs very dreamy swimsuits, with one-of-a-kind prints. You won't see their stuff anywhere else. They have this jelly fish swimsuit on sale (because it's now from their old collection), so you can buy it for a lot less.

Definitely do check their new designs out. They are beautiful.

Again, loving how my Beyond the Stars Y necklace looks! They now have the same necklace with a marble stone, and it's so beautiful.

I hope you liked this one, and can't wait to share the rest of this series with you:)!

bathtub series: skies

Hi guys!

It had been a while since I wanted to do a bathtub shoot. I had seen some on Pinterest and Instagram and felt inspired by them. I wanted to grab the idea and give it my own twist. There is nothing better than wanting to create something special and see it come to life, and even exceed your expectations.

I had been exploring the idea with other photographers, but it wasn't until I met Melissa, that I felt confident this project would come out great. I don't think I need to explain how talented this girl is. You just have to see for yourself :)

This BlackMilk swimsuit is one of my favorites. I wear it as a top as well, and it definitely catches a lot of attention. I love the sky and grass detail on it. The colors are just so bright and beautiful. I wear it during fall with dark jeans and a leather jacket, and in spring/summer with lighter things. It just has so much potential.

I am also loving my Beyond The Stars Y necklace. The clear rock detail is so minimal and clean. It goes well with anything. I've been wearing it a lot, as you can see from my past posts.

Hope you like this!

thoughts

I'm looking at these pictures and thinking "man, I really do need a haircut!", and "I'm loving my tan... I hope it doesn't fade away too fast", also "wow, my style really has changed".

That last thought prompted me to look back at my older posts and just reflect. Hitting my mid 20s has made me think a lot about my past, my present, and my future. The way I used to be and the way I am now. I've always found dressing up as an artistic outlet to my emotions, thoughts, and way of perceiving life. So, I believe that the way I feel inside is directly correlated to the way I dress.

I could go on and write a whole essay about how I feel my life has changed and how I am starting to set up new kinds of goals in my life. I just think time is of essence and we don't have much to waste. How cliché is that? As cliché as it may sound, it probably is the biggest truth we have.

Now, this doesn't mean I threw away all the clothes I've bought these past five years. It just means I wear them, but in a different way. I still like to feel fun, sexy, and feminine. But, above all, I want to feel me, or at least, the present me. It's something that I like to think of as me growing as a person.

If you've followed me for a while, you know how much I love a good background. This isn't the first time I take pictures in front of a historic house. Last year, I did a Cinco de Mayo post in front of this beautiful, historic (teal blue?) house.

This time, I took pictures in front of a house I always walk by, and that has intrigued me for years. It's the James Blake House, the oldest house in Boston, built in 1661. If you're from Boston and want to read more about it, click here.

I never felt the courage to walk into it by myself, but Cynthia and I were feeling a little adventurous that day. Plus, did you see all those beautiful flowers? How could you stop yourself from going in?

I hope you enjoyed!

transitioning

Hi guys!

Although everyone is talking about how summer is over, I don’t feel like it is yet. I know, I know! I named my last post “last days of summer”, but have you checked the weather forecast? At least here in Boston it’s going to be pretty warm for the rest of the week. That only means one thing: I’ll be going to the beach as much as I can before it's over. It won’t be fall until I feel the need to wear a light jacket.

On the other hand, I do enjoy wearing fall clothes, but without leaving summer behind. I like slooowly transitioning by wearing summer clothes like tank tops and shorts, with fall clothes like midi skirts and three-quarter sleeve tops, or just really anything that doesn't remind me that we're only one season away from winter now.

Have I ever mentioned that green is my favorite color? I keep finding myself adding green details to my outfits without even noticing.

Hope you guys like this:)
 Stay in the sun!
