rolling in the snow

I love my glittery tights. I wanted some like these for quite a while but was never able to find them until this past December. It took me about an hour to choose whether to buy the silver ones or the golden ones. Of course, as you can see, I ended up getting the silver ones.

You might be wondering why I didn't just buy both tights, instead of wasting one hour of my day in H&M trying to choose. The reason is, I've been back to practicing the "art" of saving money. I am usually good at it, but I had been losing myself up in the past months. One pair of glittery tights is enough!

sweater: f21, shorts: Zara (very old), tights: H&M, shoes: JC, necklace: Jeweliq

As cold as it may look, it was actually a warm day for Boston. Lying down on the snow was more of a refreshing experience. I try to take advantage of snow as much as I can, and lie down on it whenever I have a chance. I like to think I'm a white seal!

Oh, and about the Taz-Mania backpack... It belongs to a friend, but I'm afraid he will never see it again. Muahaha!

STREET STYLE: fashion weeks F/W '13

One of my favorite parts of fashion weeks is seeing what actual/normal people wear. Of course runway shows are awesome, but not everything models wear could always be "wearable" on a normal day to day basis, not to count that not all designs look as HOT as they do on models.

The way people mix and match tendencies or designs and put them together in their own way, in my perspective, is the best form of art.

If everyone wore clothes exactly the way designers proposed, the world would be full of uniforms and everyone would look the same.

Looking through Vogue, I chose the styles I liked the most at each of the fashion weeks.

pretty in spikes

I finally got my hands on this neck-candy!
I had been eyeing this pretty piece of jewelry at Jeweliq. I think their stuff is pretty cool and affordable. For example, this necklace (click here) is only $25, and it comes with matching earrings. I wasn't expecting the earrings to come with it so I took them as a bonus.

I love it and have worn it a couple of times so far. I have been getting into necklaces lately and started collecting quite a few. You might feel underdressed sometimes, but adding a necklace to your outfit seems to suddenly turn it into a whole new thing! Necklaces can turn a simple outfit into an edgy one, and I think this one really adds some spice to a subtle look.

Some of my other favorite pieces are (click on the links I have provided):
Turq Flora Bib (specially for spring and summer)

Which one do you like better?

I will try to post an outfit look with this necklace. I am seriously in love!

F/W '13 NYFW, part 2: NAILS

The last post summarized pretty much everything I liked from NYFW this time, outfit-wise. Now, I have also been looking at the nail-designs that have been chosen to go with the different outfits, and here is a selection of my favorite ones.

I chose the ones I thought were most unique and never seen on other seasons' runway shows.

Creatures of the Wind: This one was my favorite one. I will surely try this out SOON!

Prabal Gurung: Actually, nevermind, this one was my favorite design.

Rebecca Minkoff: This is a cool one. It reminds me of shells and pearls.

Assembly New York: I have seen eyes on nails in the past, but I had never seen eye-lashes on nails! This was the most creative one (and probably the coolest too).

Alice and Olivia: I don't know why I never thought about this before...

I will probably be trying all these designs in all the colors, shapes and forms.

Do you have any favorites?

F/W '13 NYFW, part 1

I have collected way too many pictures for this post, so I will keep the talk short.

The following are my favorite designs (so far) from the Fall/Winter '13 collections during NYFW. I have organized them by designers to make it a little easier to follow.

Alexander Wang

Altuzarra

Jason Wu

Lacoste:
I have to say I don't usually like Lacoste designs, but for some reason they decided to come up with new things... and I'm loving it!

Prabal Gurung

Rag and Bone

Suno

I am in love with the shapes of the coats and jackets. The bigger the better!

Can't wait to see the rest of the designs this week. Do you have any other favorites, besides the ones I posted?
